A few ideas for future Skin Contests... - 2006/08/15 18:18
I’ve been chewing on a few ideas for contests and here are some of them:-
Designated Car Skin Contest
In this scenario, a particular car is chosen for skinning. This may be done from a vote or decided by the competition organizers. Once a car has been chosen and the contest opened, you will have 'X' amount of time to complete and submit your skin. Any color combinations and sponsors are allowed for this contest.
Car Class Skin Contest
Similar to the Designated Car Skin Contest, this event will be restricted to a class or type of car. For example, this could be restricted to the GTR cars in which case you will have the choice of 5 cars, the XFR, UFR, FXR, XRR or FZR. It could also be limited to just 2 or 3 of these instead of all 5. This could be derived from a vote or decided by the competition organizers. Once a class or selection of cars has been chosen and the contest opened, you will have 'X' amount of time to complete and submit your skin. Any color combinations and sponsors are allowed for this contest.
Color Restricted Skin Contest
Stricter that the open type contests, here you will be given a set of colors to use for your skin. This could be derived from a vote or decided by the competition organizers. Once a color scheme has been decided - let's say red/grey/black, you will have 'X' amount of time to complete and submit your skin. Any cars and any sponsors are allowed for this contest.
Sponsor Restricted Skin Contest
Similar to the Color Restricted Skin Contest, here you will be given a set of sponsors to use for your skin. This could be derived from a vote or decided by the competition organizers. To keep things fair, a set of high quality decals will be provided for download. Only decals from this set can be used for this contest. You can use all or only some of them but your decals must come from this set only. Once a sponsor has been decided, you will have 'X' amount of time to complete and submit your skin. Any cars and any color schemes are allowed for this contest.
Sponsor and Color Restricted Combo Skin Contest
Getting to be really challenging now! The rules from both the Color and Sponsor Restricted contests apply here. You will be given a color scheme and a set of decals for download to complete your skin. These could be derived from a vote or decided by the competition organizers. Once a sponsor and color scheme has been decided, you will have 'X' amount of time to complete and submit your skin. All cars are permitted for this challenge.
Full Restricted Skin Contest
The nightmare of all skin contests! This challenge puts you literally head to head with other skinners to come up with a skin of pre-determined colors, decals and on a designated car, so this is about as challenging as it can get! You will be given a color scheme, a set of decals for download and the name of a car to complete your skin. These could be derived from a vote or decided by the competition organizers. Once a sponsor, a color scheme and car has been decided, you will have 'X' amount of time to complete and submit your skin. There is zero wiggle room in this challenge.
